Let the Light Shine Through

Sometimes even Viking pirate roadtrippers need a break from raping and pillaging for a quiet moment of reflection. Being in Houston we decided to sail to Lakewood Church, the largest US congregation by number of worshippers. Let's just say the service is done with the bravado of 19 firing canons, or just one very awesome choir and band. No seriously, the vocal performances were astounding and the band left little to be desired. Housed in the former home of the Houston Rockets, the church seats over 16,000 Jesus enthusiasts at a time. The service is very interactive and entertaining. Following the 40 minute opening rock gospel concert, the pastor takes the stage for words of inspiration, and a bit of stand up comedy.
